Congratulations to Ronnie Ashmore and Rick Fontenot on their bullets this past Saturday.
I was out of town this past weekend, so the story will be short. The wind was all over the place from 0-12 with 90 degree shifts (my favorite conditions….to miss). First race was a WL2 with Ronnie taking the bullet, Dennis Fisher on his MC Scow was second and Rick Fontenot getting bronze.
Second race was a WL2 but shortened at a mark. Rick was ahead and got some new breeze and finished almost 11 minutes ahead of the next boat. Wow. Ronnie was second and Brian Hampton on his Force 5 was third.
Next race is scheduled for Saturday May 12th. Note that the fleet is hosting a Steak cookout after racing that day. You need to sign up here or email Fleet Captain Eric Seymour (eseymour@lockworksllc.net) so we can get a headcount. All you have to do is race to get a juicy ribeye or ny strip. Bring a side dish. Fleet beer provided as usual. How good is that?
