Adult Learn to Sail Program
Beginning Sailing is taught by Ron Moede.  There are 2 Classroom sessions and 3 days of hands-on training on the water per class.  The on the water portion is taught in Catalina 22s.  All classes are conducted at Western Carolina Sailing Club.

The following classes are scheduled for 2020:
Class 1 - April 16th Classroom - WCSC Clubhouse
               April 18th - On the water
               April 23rd- Classroom - WCSC Clubhouse
               April 25th - On the water
               April 26 - On the water
Class 2 - May 7th -  Classroom - WCSC Clubhouse
               May  9th - On the water
               May 14th - Classroom - WCSC Clubhouse
               May 16th - On the water
               May 17th - On the water

Class 3 - September 3rd - Classroom - WCSC Clubhouse
               September 5th - On the water
               September 10th - Classroom - WCSC Clubhouse
               September 12th - On the water
               September 13th - On the water
Class 4 - September 24th -  Classroom - WCSC Clubhouse
               September 26th - On the water
               October 1st - Classroom - WCSC Clubhouse
               October 3rd - On the water
               October 4th - On the water

Registration: $330.00

Learn the basics of sailing, a lifelong sport which knows no gender or age boundaries. Master the basic theory of how a sailboat works and how you safely and skillfully operate it. Then put your skills into practice at Western Carolina Sailing Club on Lake Hartwell. This program utilizes both classroom and on-the-water instruction. Participants must have their own Coast Guard Approved Type III life jacket.
