First Responder's Luncheon

About this event

The Safety and Security Committe is once again hosting a lunch for our community's First Responders to recognize those responders who serve WCSC when we have need of their services (Sheriff. Fire dept., EMS, DNR, US Coast Guard, 911, US Army Corps of Engineers)

Last time we fed 125 people and we looking for club members who are available to help us with -
*Set up: (tables and chairs, plates and plasticware, condiments, chafing dishes for burgers and dogs, etc)
*Food prep: (cutting lettuce, onions, and tomatoes for burgers, filling cups with tea or water, setting out side dishes and desserts with serving utensils, etc)
*Greeting our guests and showing them where the food is and where to sit.
*Make up "to-go" containers for the 911 staff who can't attend (they really appreciate being included) including containters of burgers and dogs, buns and condiments, side dishes and desserts, and jugs of tea, etc.
*And clean-up afterwards.

And, of course, please eat with us and enjoy getting to know our first responders in person over a burger.

It's a great chance to get to meet the people who serve our community and our club and to say "Thanks!" They get to know us and we get to know them too. And if you ever have to call 911 for help, it makes things a little better knowing you already have a connection over lunch.

Register below where it says "Volunteer Here." That lets us know how much food to prepare.
And please also bring a dish to share, a side dish (chips, pasta salad, cole slaw, and such) or a dessert.

Although the event is 4 hours, you don't have to stay the whole time.
Just email Keat and let him know when you will be available.

There will be a sheet for recording your time for Fair Share too. Be sure to sign your time in and out and what you did so you can get credit.
