Breeze. Breeze on baby! That’s what we had on Sunday morning and Fleet Captain Eric Seymour made a call to delay the start 30 minutes as PRO Steve Kiemele and team were on the course in some fantastic conditions. By the time we got on the course the breeze had settled a bit to a Chamber of Commerce 10-20.
Not much to say about the first couple of races as Rick was flying around the course. Rick has definitely improved and new sails are definitely helping him get around the course. It showed in the breezy conditions as he won the first two races going away. Bruce Busbey with Debbie Busbey and Bruce Ehlert were very fast but could not hang with the grey Trimaran. No one could.
Third race had pre start incident that caused some on shore discussion. No foul was called on the water, but Fleet Captain Seymour was sure that John Kreidler fouled him. So, with that all being said, John, with respect to Fleet Captain Eric Seymour, does an RAF (Retire After Finish). So there is that. Too bad we did not have drones filming the race, it would have been nice to have a video of the prestart for future rules discussion.
