Frostbite #2 results

Published on 1/7/2019
The second Frostbite Race of the 2019 season was held on Jan. 5. Conditions were different than those of the Jan 1 event. While temperatures were in the 50s, the wind was in the low/mid teens with gusts into the twenties. Five boats made the start. The course sailed was Distance Course F, the most distant buoy 26A-TS at the southern end of Andersonville Island. Dan Marett was PRO (volunteer). As with all the races in the Frostbite Series, Tim served chili, cole slaw, and corn bread after the racing was concluded.
The next Frostbite Race is scheduled Jan 12. The current forecast (7 Jan) calls for temps in the 30s and the possibility of morning snow. Snow is like frost, right?
