On Jan 1, 2019, the captain and crews of 14 sailboats braved near record high temperatures and very light wind to compete for the Commodore's Cup trophy (and a bottle of good rum). The course sailed was Course "C" of the WCSC Distance Course list. This race commenced by means of a pursuit start. Derek Lord managed the starts and finishes as PRO. Tim Crane prepared a New Year's Day for dinner after the race.
