2025 Parade of Lights Update - It's Light'em Up Time!!

Ronald C Ashmore | Published on 11/30/2025
As of Monday, December 1st we only have 17 boats officially registered to participate in this year's event benefiting Toys for Tots and the Good Neighbor Cupboard.  This consists of  6 sailboats and 11 powerboats.  6 boats are from WCSC, 7 are from Portman Marina, and 4 are from "other" locations.   If you have already registered, THANK YOU!   If you are lurking in the shadows or are still undecided, it is time to let us know you are going to participate this year.

We really need to know if you're planning on decorating your boat and participating in the parade, even if it's for only one of the 2 nights!

To register a boat in the parade for either or both nights go to this QR code or click this link:
Not able to decorate your boat and join the parade this year for the benefit of Toys for Tots?  Here is your chance to participate in this year's event from the warm and dry comfort of your easy chair.  We encourage you to consider going to Amazon.com or any online retailer of your choice and search for children's toys by whatever age group you wish.  Select several items and have them shipped to my house:

I will take them to WCSC and place them in our Toys for Tots collection boxes.
Make sure you select something that will be delivered by no later than the end of the day on December 9th as we will be taking the toys to the distribution warehouse on December 10th.

As a reminder, toys must be new and unwrapped.

Also, please let me know by text or email that you are sending something so I can be on the lookout.

Lastly, we still need a volunteer (fairshare) on Saturday night December 6th to drive the club Whaler as a safety boat shadowing the parade incase someone needs some help. It would also be wise to have a crew member to assist if necessary.  Bring your own lifejacket.
