 Diva Regatta

Join us for the 7th Annual, Western Carolina Sailing Club’s Diva Regatta hosted by Dacia Schrecengost for the benefit of Safe Harbor. This regatta is open to all sailboats interested in participating on a distance course or day sailor course. Each boat sailing on the distance course must have a female at the helm throughout the duration of each race sailed. If you’re looking for something slightly different, consider sailing with the ‘Day Sailors’ where a female must be aboard either helping or learning to sail. Entrants must register online at www.wcsc-sailing.org  or by CLICKING HERE TO REGISTER to be eligible to compete. Make sure to check out the NOTICE OF RACE and SAILING INSTRUCTIONS at the bottom of the registration page. Please register soon so we can get an accurate count for food. Registration is $55.00 and additional meal tickets cost $10.00 each. We look forward to your participation and seeing you on the water!

Storage Rack Vessels & Equipment

Dinghies, sailboards, canoes, kayaks, etc. without WCSC identification decals (and not locked to the storage rack) have been moved to the old pop-up camper storage area between the Clubhouse and the garage. Photographs are available of which vessels have been moved. Please be aware of the "More info" link at the very top of each photo.

WCSC JR Championships will be held on September 5.

Third Annual Adaptive Sailing Day

This year the Disabled Sailing Day will be the first annual RCP Regatta. We plan games of strength and skill along with the timed sailing event to compete for fabulous, (or not), prizes and a perpetual trophy. We need club members with keelboats to pre-register for the event so we can plan for the number of participants. A therapist will be on each boat to assist the participants as needed. Lunch will be provided. Your support is greatly appreciated and the event will be fun and inspirational for all. The date is Saturday September 12. REGISTRATION CLOSES SEPT 4!  Questions and responses to ahippensteal@ghs.org.
