Dinghy Day a Success
This past Saturday (May 10th) Dinghy day was a success as we had 10 boats show up and race for several hours. With John Kreidler and Jo Hopp running race commitee we got off 4 practice starts and 5 races. Great practice and lots of crew swapping. Cookout afterwards was attended by over 20 people. Look for this event again on the calendar. Take a look at some some great photos taken in ideal conditions. Read about the fun on the Centerboard Fleet Page hosted by Dennis Baker.
Justin Hull 2008 Club Champion
Justin outlasted several game competitors to win the coveted Championship this past weekend. Checkout the story and pictures. Big thanks to Billy Lacher and his RC for a job well done.
Breakwater Update
Want to know more about the vital Breakwater that guards our harbor? Ed Sherman has recently updated our site with good history and information on our breakwater. Check it out at this link. Very soon we will be asking for volunteers to help with our annual maintenance program (once the water warms up). You can contact Ronnie Ashmore and Dan Marett if you are interested in lending a hand.
2008 Club Calendar
Our interactive club calender is being updated and you can check it out here. This interactive calendar will provide detail information of the upcoming events. Move your mouse over the event for a brief description, or click on the event to bring up the details.
In the meantime, a copy of the year's events in pdf format is located here 2008 Social and Racing calendar. Please watch your Windsong as well as the website for updates to the calendar.
